Entre Ríos Shows Gains in National Literacy and Math Tests

Argentina’s Aprender 2025 assessment of sixth‑grade students recorded nationwide improvements of 10.5 points in language and 3.5 points in mathematics compared with the 2023 edition. In the province of Entre Ríos, 959 schools and 19,045 pupils (84.5% of the enrolled cohort) participated.

In language, 77.3% of Entre Ríos students reached satisfactory or advanced levels, up 12.8 percentage points from 2023 and slightly above the national average of 76.9%. The share of students below the basic level fell from 13.1% to 4.4%, while the advanced category rose to 32.1%, the highest provincial record since the test began. In mathematics, 53.5% achieved satisfactory or advanced standards, a 5.6‑point rise, also exceeding the national gain of 3.5 points. The proportion of pupils below basic in math declined from 26.5% to 20.3%.

These results highlight concrete progress in reading comprehension and basic numeracy in Entre Ríos and suggest the effectiveness of recent provincial and national education policies, though officials note further work is needed to consolidate gains.
