Entrepreneurship initiatives expand credit access in Amazonas
Regional initiatives in the Brazilian state of Amazonas are focusing on providing credit access and financial guidance to small business owners.
In Humaitá, Sebrae Amazonas organized a credit round involving six financial institutions, including Caixa Econômica Federal, Banco do Brasil, Bradesco, Banco da Amazônia (BASA), Sicoob, and Sicredi. The event allowed micro-entrepreneurs, micro-enterprises, and small businesses to compare financing terms, deadlines, and limits directly with representatives. Humaitá currently hosts over 5,000 small businesses, primarily in services, commerce, industry, construction, and agriculture.
In Boa Vista, the Municipal Entrepreneurship Agency (AME BV) held a lecture on planning and responsible credit use for 20 entrepreneurs. This training is a prerequisite for the Cresce+ credit line, which offers up to R$ 10,000 per participant. The total planned investment for this group is R$ 200,000, intended for expanding production capacity, purchasing equipment, or improving business infrastructure.
