Enugu State expands digital infrastructure through ITF and NCC partnerships

Enugu State is expanding its digital and industrial infrastructure through new partnerships with federal agencies. The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) is set to establish a Digital Fabrication Centre in the state following land approval from Governor Peter Mbah. The project aims to promote local manufacturing, innovation, and employment by upskilling artisans to international standards.

Additionally, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has granted the Enugu State Government a 15-year lease to operate a Digital Industrial Park and Learning Centre. This facility is intended to serve as a hub for artificial intelligence, startup incubation, and digital skills development. The NCC stated the partnership aims to position the region as a competitive destination for technology-enabled services and business process outsourcing.
