Envalora announces 2027 RAP tariffs aligned with EU packaging regulations

Envalora, a leading industrial packaging waste management system (SCRAP), has announced its 2027 Extended Producer Responsibility (RAP) tariffs. These new rates are designed to align with the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

Scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2027, the tariff structure aims to provide predictability for businesses while adapting to new regulatory requirements. The system incorporates ecomodulation, which provides financial incentives for reusable packaging over single-use options, supporting the EU's push for increased reuse.

According to data from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Envalora manages 37.5% of responsibility for over 3,000 member companies. The new rates include specific values for transport packaging and adjust categories where management costs have increased. To assist with the transition, Envalora has provided an online calculator for companies to estimate upcoming costs before the September 30 deadline for changing management systems.
