EPCOT installs new dining surfaces ahead of Food & Wine Festival
Ahead of the upcoming EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, new dining surfaces have been installed throughout the World Showcase area to provide guests with alternatives to eating off trash cans.
Small shelves have been attached to railings at select locations, including areas near the Mexico and Germany pavilions and the Odyssey pavilion. These additions aim to address a long-standing issue where festival attendees used the tops of trash cans as makeshift tables. This need became more pronounced following the introduction of new solar-powered trash cans, which feature curved designs that are less conducive to holding food and drinks.
In addition to the new railing-mounted shelves, high-top tables have also been observed around the World Showcase area to accommodate the crowds expected during the festival.
