Epic Games adds Fortnite Gem Sprites on August 6, 2026

Epic Games announced that nine new Gem Sprites will become available in Fortnite on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The release will occur at 6 AM PT (9 AM ET) as part of the New Sprite Day update for Chapter 7 Season 3. The Gem Llama Sprite was introduced earlier on July 30, while the remaining eight variants will debut on the scheduled date.

Each Gem Sprite provides a 30 percent reduction in fall damage, stacking with existing Sprite buffs. The new sprites can be found in Sprite Chests across the map, though some—such as Gem Punk, Gem Grim, and Gem Zero Point—are rarer spawns. Players may also trade Sprites with friends to complete the collection.
