Overview

Epic Games continued its rapid rollout of Chapter 7 content through late July and early August 2026. The v41.30 patch launched on July 30, featuring a Spider-Man “Brand New Day” crossover, a Lil Tecca Festival, and a Simpsons-themed Reload map. This update also included an Ironmouse-themed sprite and skins, as well as the introduction of the Gem Llama Sprite.

On August 6, Epic added nine new Gem Sprites, such as Gem Punk and Gem Grim, which provide a 30 percent reduction in fall damage. To help players complete collections before Chapter 7 Season 3 concludes on August 19, Epic announced “Sprite Spree Week.” Starting August 15, this five-day event includes Mythic Sprite Hours with increased spawn rates for rare Zero Point and Grim Sprites, followed by themed 24-hour windows for Galaxy, Holo, Cube, and Gem variants. During the event, players receive bonuses such as faster Sprite leveling and the ability to resummon Sprites without Sprite Dust.

Following these events, the game transitioned to Chapter 7 Season 4, titled “Override.” This phase introduces a new generation of Sprites and the “Sprite Garden,” a personal island for displaying collections. The season also features five fan-created Sprites from the Design-a-Sprite contest—Bullet, Dumpster Dive, Honey, Pond, and X-Ray—each granting unique abilities like extra ammo or faster water movement. The Sprite Garden functions as a life simulation mode where players can build homes and dedicated zones for their Sprites, offering a relaxing, crafting-focused experience that serves as a departure from high-intensity combat. Sprites collected in previous seasons carry over to the new garden, preserving player progress.
