Epic Games introduces Boss Sprite and Striker Sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3

Epic Games added two new companion characters to Fortnite during Chapter 7 Season 3. The Boss Sprite drops automatically after any AI boss is defeated, granting players a predictable health and shield boost that scales from +5 at level 1 to +25 at level 5. The sprite can be extracted at designated sites or with a portable extractor for permanent use.

A second companion, the Striker Sprite, is obtained by scoring a goal on a new soccer‑field map near Quackaway. Hitting a net transforms the ball into the Striker Sprite, which provides an “Overdrive” effect that gives unlimited stamina, increased movement speed and higher jumps. Like the Boss Sprite, it must be extracted to keep it after a match.

Both sprites are intended to change the current meta by enhancing survivability (Boss Sprite) and mobility (Striker Sprite) and are part of the June 25 2023 update that coincides with the FIFA World Cup event in the game.
