Equinor and Polenergia complete foundation installation for Baltic 2 and 3 wind farms

Equinor and Polenergia have completed the installation of all 100 wind turbine foundations and two offshore substation structures for the Baltic 2 and Baltic 3 projects in the Baltic Sea. These offshore wind farms will have a combined capacity of 1.44 GW.

The installation phase involved up to 35 vessels operating simultaneously, including the heavy-lift vessel Thialf. The first energy from these farms is expected to flow into the grid in 2027, with full operational status planned for 2028.
