Erciyes prepares for winter season following successful summer tourism

Erciyes AŞ Chairman Zafer Akşehirlioğlu announced that the Erciyes ski center has successfully completed its summer season of activities and is now preparing for the upcoming winter season. The summer period featured diverse events including meteor observation festivals, tennis tournaments, cycling tracks, and mountain tourism activities such as trekking and ATV tours.

Significant emphasis was placed on promoting high-altitude training camps. Following a national promotional campaign by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, sports experts and delegations visited the site to inspect new athletics tracks and facilities. Visitors noted that the quality of the facilities reduces the necessity to travel to Europe for high-altitude training.

In preparation for the winter season, maintenance and renovation work is underway across the facilities. To address previous logistical issues, new parking areas have been established following instructions from Kayseri Metropolitan Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç. Infrastructure improvements also include a bypass road initiated by the Highways Department and the installation of moving walkways at Develi Kapı.
