The Erciyes High Altitude Camp Center has become a key training hub, hosting events such as the Academy Erciyes Cup 2026 youth football tournament and a beach volleyball competition. To support professional athletics, a new tartan track is being installed at the center. Ahmet Karadağ, President of the Turkish Athletics Federation, stated the facility is intended to become a ‘premier global high-performance and training hub,’ providing a world-class alternative to traditional high-altitude training locations like Kenya or Ethiopia.

To support hospitality expansion, the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality has announced a tender to auction a 2,036-square-meter tourism development plot in the Melikgazi district, specifically zoned for hotel development, with an estimated value of 23 million TL.
