Erdek experiences heavy rainfall and flooding

Heavy rainfall has impacted the Erdek region, with meteorological data showing 22 kilograms of precipitation per square meter. The downpour caused significant water accumulation on Hükümet Caddesi, leading to flooding in several businesses. Local shopkeepers were forced to manually drain water from their premises, highlighting ongoing concerns regarding the adequacy of the district's drainage infrastructure.

In the surrounding areas, Bandırma recorded the highest precipitation levels in the region at 47.8 kilograms per square meter. Bandırma Airport measured 45 kilograms, while Manyas and Gönen recorded 27.3 and 22.7 kilograms, respectively.
