Erdoğan criticizes UN veto power at International Justice Summit

At the International Justice Summit held in Istanbul, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan criticized the current global order, stating that the United Nations system has lost its legitimacy. He specifically targeted the UN Security Council's structure, arguing that the veto power held by five permanent members undermines the will of over 190 nations and prevents international equality. Erdoğan noted that international laws and court decisions are increasingly being ignored, describing the current state of international law as nearly suspended.

Erdoğan also addressed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, describing the region as the world's largest concentration camp and calling for accountability for those committing crimes. He further highlighted regional security risks, such as the ongoing blockage in the Strait of Hormuz.

Separately, Justice Minister Akın Gürlek spoke at a Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) training camp in Kızılcahamam. Gürlek emphasized the government's commitment to protecting young people from organized crime and ideological threats, asserting that the state will not back down against any criminal elements targeting the youth.
