ERSAR awards water quality seals to Vila de Rei and AGERE

The Water and Waste Services Regulatory Authority (ERSAR) has awarded the ‘Exemplary Water Quality Seal for Human Consumption 2026’ to several Portuguese entities, including the Municipality of Vila de Rei and AGERE, the water and sanitation company for Braga.

Vila de Rei received the distinction for maintaining high standards of water quality through rigorous operational control, infrastructure modernization, and consistent microbiological and physico-chemical monitoring. Out of 223 water supply entities evaluated, only 56 received this specific seal.

AGERE renewed its distinction for excellence in water quality, recognized for its performance in the supply process from catchment to distribution. The company emphasized its ongoing investments in treatment systems and infrastructure to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety procedures.
