Spain reports multiple violent crimes and legal proceedings

Several violent incidents and legal developments have been reported across Spain. In Azpeitia, a 43-year-old man surrendered to police in Ondarroa following the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old taxi driver. The suspect, who has a history of drug-related offenses, allegedly rammed the victim's vehicle before firing multiple shots.

In Barakaldo, a 48-year-old man is in provisional custody for the fatal shooting of a man near the Lasesarre football stadium. The victim was the current partner of the suspect's ex-partner, leading feminist groups like Argitan to classify the act as vicarious violence.

Other notable legal cases include a woman in Elciego facing attempted homicide charges after allegedly striking her partner with a vehicle, and a man in Albacete convicted for repeated verbal abuse against his wife. Additionally, the Audiencia Nacional is conducting a trial against an individual accused of jihadist radicalization and surveilling Catholic churches in the Basque Country and Navarre.
