Eryc Castillo linked to potential transfer to Mexico

Ecuadorian forward Eryc Castillo is reportedly nearing a departure from Alianza Lima following interest from the Mexican football market. Reports suggest that negotiations for a move to Mexico are advanced, with a potential exit planned for the end of the 2026 season.

Previous reports from Mexican media, including El Siglo de Torreón, have linked the 31-year-old striker to Santos Laguna, a club he previously played for in 2019 and 2020. While interest from the Mexican side has been noted, including a previously discussed figure of approximately 2 million dollars, Alianza Lima has maintained a stance of not entering formal negotiations until the current tournament concludes.

Castillo is currently under contract with the Peruvian club until December 31, 2028. His potential departure would require Alianza Lima's management to seek replacements for the upcoming campaigns.
