Eryc Castillo transfer interest from Liga MX

Overview

Ecuadorian striker Eryc Castillo has drawn interest from Mexican Liga MX clubs following his successful tenure with Alianza Lima in Peru. Early reports indicated that potential transfer offers could exceed two million dollars, with discussions regarding his valuation occurring at the TransferRoom event in São Paulo.

While specific interest from Santos Laguna was noted, Alianza Lima initially maintained a firm stance on retaining the 31-year-old for the remainder of the season to preserve their competitive advantage. Castillo, who has recorded 17 goals and 5 assists in 26 appearances, remains under contract with the Peruvian club until the end of 2028.

As negotiations progressed, reports suggested that a departure from Alianza Lima was nearing, with a potential move to Mexico planned for the conclusion of the 2026 season. Alianza Lima management has indicated they would not enter formal negotiations until the current tournament concludes, noting that any exit would necessitate finding replacements for future campaigns.
