Erzgebirge hiking festival Eurorando 2026 to offer special transport tickets

The Verkehrsverbund Mittelsachsen (VMS) has announced a special event ticket for the Eurorando hiking festival, which will take place in the German-Czech Erzgebirge region from September 20 to 27, 2026.

Individual tickets allow for three consecutive days of travel using public transportation within the VMS network, including trams, regional buses, and second-class local trains. The ticket covers the Chemnitz, Erzgebirgskreis, Mittelsachsen, and Zwickau districts. The cost is 25 euros per person, with a group option available for 50 euros covering up to five people.

Tickets can be purchased digitally via the ‘Moovme’ app or as paper tickets at the VMS customer center in Chemnitz. The ticket does not include entry to Eurorando events or access to the Fichtelbergbahn and Augustusburg cable car.
