ESA and ISRO extend cooperation agreement through 2032

The European Space Agency (ESA) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have signed an agreement to extend their long-standing cooperation for an additional five years, lasting until January 8, 2032. Signed in Paris, the agreement expands the scope of their partnership to include space weather, human and robotic exploration, and the sustainability of outer space activities.

In a separate effort to bolster the European space sector, ESA hosted the Investor Forum 2026 in Paris. The event focused on mobilizing private capital to complement public investment, aiming to help European space companies scale and compete globally. Discussions highlighted the need for diverse financing structures, such as growth equity and commercial debt, to support the next phase of industrial growth.
