České dráhy replaces Class 810 railcars on Čáslav–Třemošnice line
České dráhy has officially retired the Class 810 railcars from the local line between Čáslav and Třemošnice. The final journey for these vehicles, colloquially known as “kufr,” featured special decorations to mark the end of their era on this route.
Starting October 1, regular service on this line will be operated by Regionova motor units. This transition provides several improvements for passengers, including approximately 30 additional seats, more interior space, and dedicated areas for bicycle transport. Most notably, the new units offer barrier-free access for wheelchair users, a feature previously unavailable on this line.
According to České dráhy spokesperson Petr Šťáhlavský, the railway and the Central Bohemian Region are gradually phasing out Class 810 railcars on various branch lines, replacing them with barrier-free Regionova or RegioSpider units. While the 810 series is being removed from active service on these routes, České dráhy will retain them as backup vehicles.
