Eskişehir car rental sector sees summer surge
The car rental sector in Eskişehir is experiencing significant growth due to the summer season. This surge in demand is primarily driven by expatriates returning from abroad and domestic tourists visiting the city for holidays.
Industry representative Metin Çoban reports that the peak period is expected to continue for another one to one and a half months. Rental patterns differ by demographic: expatriates tend to opt for monthly rentals, while local residents typically rent vehicles for periods of 8 to 15 days. Daily rental rates currently start at approximately 2,800 lira and can reach up to 6,000 lira, depending on the vehicle segment and transmission type.
There is a notable shift in consumer preference toward automatic transmission vehicles, particularly in the sedan segment. Çoban predicts that the era of manual transmission vehicles may conclude within the next five years as demand for automatic models continues to rise.
