Turkey reports water main break and multiple traffic accidents
Various incidents have been reported across Turkey, including a water main break in Antalya and several traffic accidents.
In Antalya, the ASAT General Directorate investigated a yellowish, cloudy discoloration in the sea near the Muratpaşa cliffs. Officials determined the change was caused by clean water from a 450mm diameter main water line break, which carried soil and surface materials into the sea through storm drains. They confirmed that wastewater and sewage systems are functioning normally.
In Eskişehir, a collision between a light commercial vehicle and a car in the Tepebaşı district resulted in one injury. The driver of the commercial vehicle fled the scene on foot. A passenger in the vehicle claimed they did not know the driver, stating they had only recently joined the vehicle after a fair. Police have issued fines and are searching for the driver.
Other notable incidents include a car rollover in Erzurum's Palandöken district that injured four people, and a confrontation in Bursa's Osmangazi district involving a driver traveling the wrong way on a main road.
