Turkish municipalities expand local healthcare and rehabilitation services

Various Turkish municipalities and health institutions are expanding local healthcare accessibility through new facilities and specialized services.

In Eskişehir, the Yunus Emre State Hospital has opened an Outpatient Rehabilitation Center for addicted patients. Located in the Odunpazarı district, the 715-square-meter facility aims to help individuals reintegrate into social and professional life following medical detoxification from alcohol and substances.

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality is providing comprehensive home healthcare services for the elderly, disabled, and chronically ill. These services include medical examinations, wound care, physical therapy, and personal hygiene assistance.

Other regional developments include Batman Municipality offering free weekly health services, including nutrition counseling and cancer screenings via KETEM centers. In Esenyurt, the municipality has launched a free patient transport service for bedridden and disabled residents. Additionally, Sivas Numune Hospital has inaugurated a new administrative building to improve institutional coordination and management efficiency.
