Addiction rehabilitation center developments in Turkey

Overview

New addiction rehabilitation facilities are being established in Turkey to support the social reintegration of patients following medical detoxification.

In Van, construction has commenced on the BAHAR Center in the Edremit district. Coordinated by the Van Governor’s Office and supported by the Metropolitan Municipality, the 4,000-square-meter facility is designed with a 40-bed capacity. The center aims to prevent relapse by offering counseling, social skills training, and socio-cultural activities to help patients adapt to community life.

In Eskişehir, an outpatient rehabilitation center has opened within the Yunus Emre State Hospital in the Odunpazarı district. This facility focuses on the second stage of recovery, assisting individuals in reintegrating into social, family, and professional environments. Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yaşar Bildirici described the center as a “significant healing center for Western Anatolia,” noting its capacity to support various patient profiles through structured rehabilitation programs.
