Esquel municipality grants UOCRA land for sports complex
The municipality of Esquel has officially handed over a one-hectare plot of land in Valle Chico to the Unión Obrera de la Construcción de la República Argentina (UOCRA). The land transfer follows the passage of a municipal ordinance and was initiated following a request from UOCRA's general secretary in Esquel, Agustín Conturso.
The project aims to establish a recreational and sports complex for union members and their families. Planned facilities include soccer fields, a sports complex, and social areas such as a quincho and fire pits. Mayor Matías Taccetta noted that the municipality has also provided similar spaces to other unions, including Camioneros and Sitravich, to support local investment and member opportunities.
