Essbio launches plumbing training program for women in Chile
Essbio has launched a new version of its ‘Mujeres Gásfiter’ (Women Plumbers) program in the O’Higgins Region of Chile, in collaboration with the National Service for Women and Gender Equality (SernamEG). The initiative provides 20 women with specialized practical training in sanitary installations and plant operation.
The program aims to enhance employability and economic autonomy by providing technical tools for both professional labor markets and entrepreneurship. Essbio regional manager Peter Schmohl stated the initiative is part of the company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, seeking to reduce gender gaps in traditionally male-dominated trades.
