Estonia ranked as top country for global relocation in 2026

The Rumavi Global Relocation Index has identified the top destinations for moving in 2026, evaluating 192 countries across 24 factors including financial stability, habitability, and security. Estonia has been ranked as the best country to relocate to, followed by Singapore in second place and Malaysia in third. Portugal and Taiwan round out the top five.

Other notable mentions in the top ten include Lithuania, Hong Kong, and Saint Kitts and Nevis. The index highlights that European and Southeast Asian nations currently offer significant advantages in infrastructure and business opportunities.

Individual experiences also highlight the ease of finding work in certain regions. For instance, a Chilean resident in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, reported that finding employment can take as little as one day with the right attitude, noting that sectors like hospitality and cleaning offer steady wages and respect for working hours.
