Estonia's Prime Minister Michal Boosts Defense Ties with Turkey

During the 36th NATO Leaders Summit in Ankara, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal and Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur visited the Nurol Makina plant. They inspected the company’s 4×4 armored vehicles, praised their quality and logistical support, and noted that Estonia has already ordered 100 NMS EWB 4×4 vehicles for use in NATO exercises.

Michal said Estonia views Turkey as a key NATO partner, highlighting joint defence‑industry projects and the importance of increased defence spending, support for Ukraine, and NATO unity. He expressed confidence that the summit would be remembered for allied solidarity against Russia and reaffirmed the growing cooperation between the two countries’ defence sectors.
