Eswatini advances green trade and digital entrepreneurship initiatives

Eswatini is advancing its economic and digital landscape through new partnerships focused on sustainability and entrepreneurship. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) have partnered to establish a Sustainable Centre at the 2026 Eswatini International Trade Fair. This initiative aims to promote green business, sustainable trade, and enterprise competitiveness through seminars and a symposium titled “Powering Profit: Rethinking the Cost of Doing Business in Eswatini.”

In a separate development, the Small Enterprises Development Company (SEDCO) has launched the Pigg’s Peak i-Hub in the northern Hhohho region. Developed in collaboration with the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) and the UNDP, this innovation and incubation centre is designed to bridge the digital divide for youth, women, and people with disabilities. The hub provides high-quality internet connectivity and technology services to support Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprises (SMMEs) in fostering e-commerce and remote work.
