Eswatini and Taiwan agree on industrial park development plan

During a diplomatic visit to Taiwan, King Mswati III of Eswatini and Taiwanese officials agreed to establish a concrete working plan to develop the proposed Taiwanese Industrial Park (TIP). The project involves 500 hectares of land in Eswatini and aims to attract at least 30 Taiwanese companies specializing in manufacturing, electronics, and pharmaceuticals. The industrial hub is intended to utilize Taiwanese designs and operational models to foster economic growth.

In addition to economic discussions, the King visited the Tainan Aviation Training Command. Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te hosted the King, noting the long-standing aviation cooperation between the two nations, which includes the training of Eswatini pilots and maintenance officers. The visit also included a tour of the Floral Industry Innovation Centre under the Ministry of Agriculture.
