Ethereum supply tightens as whale withdraws $9.98 million from Kraken
The supply of Ethereum (ETH) has seen a reduction following a large-scale withdrawal of 5,300 ETH, valued at approximately $9.98 million, from the Kraken exchange. This movement is part of a broader trend of accumulation activity where large holders are shifting assets off trading platforms, which historically decreases available exchange balances.
In addition to whale withdrawals, Ethereum's staking activity has reached a record high. The total amount of staked ETH has surpassed 41 million, representing roughly 33.8% of the total circulating supply. This staking trend, combined with buyer-dominant spot market activity, suggests a tightening of the available supply.
While these factors point toward a potential supply squeeze, market analysts note that immediate price reactions depend on whether the accumulated assets remain inactive and if there is sufficient demand to overcome established resistance levels.
