Etihad Airways expands services to Brussels and Gothenburg

Etihad Airways is expanding its flight capacity to meet growing demand, announcing increased services to Brussels and a new seasonal route to Gothenburg.

Starting December 15, 2026, the airline will increase its Brussels to Abu Dhabi service from seven to 11 weekly flights. This 57% increase in frequency will add flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The route will be operated using Airbus A321LR aircraft, featuring First Suites, Business Class, and Economy cabins.

Additionally, Etihad will launch a seasonal service between Abu Dhabi and Gothenburg beginning December 17, 2026. Running until March 21, 2027, the route will offer four weekly flights. This service marks Gothenburg’s first direct air link to the Middle East and Asia, utilizing the Abu Dhabi hub to connect travelers to destinations across India and the Asian continent.
