EU Ambassador and Ghana IGP discuss security cooperation

European Union Ambassador to Ghana, Rune Skinnebach, met with Inspector-General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno to discuss strengthening cooperation between the EU and the Ghana Police Service.

The discussions centered on the EU’s ongoing support for the police service, specifically regarding training, community policing, forensic investigations, cybersecurity, and crime scene management. Ambassador Skinnebach reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to supporting the rule of law and improving policing capacity in Ghana.

Inspector-General Yohuno requested deeper collaboration in specialized areas, including counter-terrorism and cybersecurity, to help the Ghana Police Service address emerging security challenges.
