EU funds upgrade water, schools and public spaces in Moldovan and Romanian villages

In the Moldovan village of Zîrnești, Cahul district, residents received improved drinking‑water supply and a modernised central public area through the National "European Village" programme, which finances local infrastructure projects with European Union support.

Meanwhile, in Dănicei commune, Vâlcea County, Romania, nearly 1.2 million lei of EU and national grants are being used to build a new school, kindergarten, cultural centre, municipal offices and related infrastructure such as roads, a photovoltaic park and utility upgrades, aiming to raise living standards and attract private investment.
