EUDEX and Security Essen defense expos open in Germany

The Euro Defence Expo (EUDEX) and Security Essen have launched in Essen, Germany, serving as a major international hub for defense and civil security technologies. The events have attracted professional visitors from 89 countries and exhibitors from over 40 nations.

Key technological focuses include drone defense, cyber security, and land force equipment. Notably, the startup Hybrid Aerospace is showcasing the ‘Greif’ drone, which uses a mechanical claw to capture unauthorized drones without debris, allowing for forensic analysis. Other exhibitors, such as the Spanish company GMS Plesium, are presenting specialized mounting systems for weaponry and track recovery solutions for armored vehicles.

The EUDEX International Diplomatic Forum highlighted the event's strategic importance, bringing together high-ranking representatives from the military and diplomacy, including officials from Ukraine, Canada, Turkey, Senegal, and Jordan, to discuss European security cooperation.
