EUFOR conducts Quick Response 2026 exercises in Bosnia and Herzegovina

EUFOR is conducting Exercise Quick Response 2026 across Bosnia and Herzegovina to test rapid deployment and coordination capabilities. The exercise involves multinational units performing complex operational scenarios in various locations, including Mostar and Rudo.

In Sarajevo, the exercise included a specific drill at the Greek Embassy. Colonel Gabriele Uras, commander of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion, stated that the activity involved the evacuation of the ambassador and moving them to a secure location. This particular drill involved approximately 20 personnel and required cooperation with local authorities, police, and Greek forces.

Other activities included Austrian engineers and military police, as well as a Greek Explosive Ordnance Disposal team, deploying via Hungarian helicopter to Mostar Airport. In Rudo, a multinational platoon consisting of Greek, Italian, Albanian, and North Macedonian troops conducted long-range patrols and rehearsed procedures for securing ammunition and weapons storage sites.
