Eurasian Economic Union summit addresses trade barriers and regional cooperation

During an extensive meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Council, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan raised concerns regarding administrative barriers and restrictions affecting the export and transit of Armenian goods. Pashinyan called for continued dialogue to resolve these obstacles in accordance with EAEU laws to ensure the effective functioning of the common market and regional sustainable development. He also noted discussions regarding the removal of regional transport communication blockages to improve Armenian railway efficiency.

Representing Iran at the summit in Minsk, First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref expressed Iran's readiness to serve as an active and reliable long-term partner in economic and regional cooperation with the EAEU. Aref emphasized Iran's commitment to multilateralism, mutual respect, and the right of nations to choose their own development paths and partners, framing the EAEU as a significant platform for regional cooperation.
