Euro NCAP updates safety protocols with new 2026 test results

Euro NCAP has released new safety test results under its updated 2026 protocol, which features stricter requirements across four pillars: safe driving, crash avoidance, crash protection, and post-crash safety.

The Cupra Raval achieved a five-star rating in France because the mandatory Safety Pack is included in all French configurations. This pack features predictive adaptive cruise control and junction assist, which are critical under the new, more rigorous intersection testing scenarios. In other markets where the pack is not standard, the vehicle received a four-star rating.

Other vehicles, including several Chinese models, have also achieved five-star ratings under these more demanding testing standards.
