Greece and UAE announce €12.75bn in strategic investment deals

Greece and the United Arab Emirates have announced 18 memoranda of understanding and commercial partnerships valued at €12.75 billion. During the UAE-Greece Strategic Forum in Athens, Abu Dhabi also announced plans to invest an additional €15 billion in the Greek economy, building upon a joint initiative launched in 2022.

The agreements span critical sectors including renewable energy, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, healthcare, logistics, and food security. High-level discussions featured Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who explored expanding cooperation in infrastructure and energy.

Additional strategic moves include a Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Development Fund, the Hellenic Development Bank, and Mubadala Investment Company to facilitate joint investments. Furthermore, the Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA) signed an agreement with the Abu Dhabi Chamber to support Greek small and medium-sized enterprises in accessing Middle Eastern markets and investment capital.
