Europe weather: Atlantic storms and instability expected
A series of atmospheric disturbances is expected to impact Europe, characterized by deep low-pressure systems and Atlantic storms. In the United Kingdom and France, an extratropical storm is projected to bring violent winds potentially exceeding 100 km/h, with particularly intense weather forecasted for Scotland, the Orkney, and Shetland Islands.
Italy is also facing significant weather shifts. Following a period of instability and heavy rainfall in the North-West and eastern regions, a new wave of disturbances is expected to move through the country. While some models suggest a brief period of milder weather around the All Saints' Day holiday, other projections indicate continued instability, with risks of heavy rain and potential flooding in central and southern regions, specifically Campania and Calabria.
The transition marks the onset of the autumn storm season, driven by deep North Atlantic depressions that bring cooler temperatures and increased precipitation across the continent.
