European markets rise ahead of Eurozone economic data

European stock markets are experiencing a mild upward trend as investors await key macroeconomic data. The STOXX 600 rose by 0.29%, with the German DAX and French CAC 40 also recording gains. In London, the FTSE 100 increased by 0.43%, while Italy’s FTSE MIB saw a 0.67% rise and Spain’s IBEX 35 showed marginal growth.

Market attention is focused on upcoming S&P Global Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) data for the Eurozone, which will provide insights into business activity and economic momentum. Additionally, investors are monitoring GDP data from Spain and consumer confidence figures from Germany to gauge the resilience of the Eurozone economy.

In the energy sector, Brent crude oil prices have fallen below $100 per barrel. This decline is linked to expectations of increased supply from the Gulf region, specifically regarding the potential restart of work on the East-West pipeline in Saudi Arabia following previous drone attacks.
