European ministries act on migration crisis and diplomatic reshuffle

Spanish authorities recovered 72 bodies from the sea off Ceuta as migrants attempting to cross from Morocco to the Spanish enclave lost their lives. The incident prompted an extraordinary video conference of EU interior ministers, with Spain urging a coordinated response and Italy reinstating border checks on arrivals from Spain. Italian leader Matteo Salvini criticised Spain's migration policy, saying “Éveken át magyarázták, hogy Sánchez a követendő modell…”.

In Hungary, Foreign Minister Anita Orbán announced the recall of 25 ambassadors, including those in Washington, Brussels and Moscow, as part of a broader diplomatic renewal. The move also saw the dismissal of several senior diplomats and was presented as a step toward a more professional and effective foreign service.
