The inaugural season of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) 2026 commenced on August 26 in the Netherlands. The tournament is an ICC-sanctioned event featuring six city-based franchises from the Netherlands, Ireland, and Scotland.

In the opening match at Sportpark Duivesteijn in Voorburg, the Rotterdam Dockers defeated the Amsterdam Flames by five wickets. Faf du Plessis led the Dockers with an unbeaten 83 off 55 balls to secure the victory. The Flames' efforts were highlighted by Bas de Leede, who scored 75 runs.

The tournament features high-profile owners and players, including Abhishek Bachchan, Steve Waugh, Glenn Maxwell, and Ravichandran Ashwin. Matches are scheduled to take place in the Netherlands and Ireland through September 20, 2026, with the final held at the Malahide Cricket Club in Dublin.
