European T20 Premier League opens ticket sales and confirms inaugural season schedule

The European T20 Premier League (ETPL), Europe’s first ICC‑approved franchise T20 competition, has opened ticket sales for its inaugural season and announced Tixr as the official ticketing partner. The league will run from 26 August to 20 September 2026, featuring six city‑based franchises playing a double round‑robin format across two venues: Voorburg Cricket Club in the Netherlands and Malahide Cricket Club in Ireland.

The opening match on 26 August will see the Rotterdam Dockers face the Amsterdam Flames, followed by an all‑Irish clash between the Dublin Guardians and Belfast Wolves on 27 August, and a Scottish derby later that day. The tournament will showcase global T20 stars such as Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Ravichandran Ashwin and Faf du Plessis alongside European players. High‑profile owners include former South African captain Jonty Rhodes and Indian actor John Abraham for the Dockers, and former Australian captain Steve Waugh for the Flames. Ticket buyers can purchase seats exclusively through Tixr’s mobile‑first platform.
