Europol seeks five Serbian nationals in 40 million euro diamond heist

Dutch authorities and Europol have issued wanted posters for five Serbian citizens suspected of involvement in a massive diamond theft at the TEFAF art fair in Maastricht on June 28, 2022. The suspects, all originally from Niš, include Ninoslava Jović, 41, Aleksandra Cenić, 50, Aleksandra Stojiljković, 50, Duško Dimitrijević, 50, and Bratislav Stojanović, 41.

The heist resulted in the theft of jewelry valued at approximately 40 million euros, including a famous yellow diamond. Ninoslava Jović is specifically accused of playing a facilitating role by assisting the escape of the other suspects. Security footage captured her driving one of the getaway vehicles.

Police believe the suspects may be hiding in or around Niš or Belgrade. The Dutch public prosecutor is offering a 20,000 euro reward for information leading to their arrest, while an insurance company is offering 600,000 euros for information regarding the stolen jewelry. Investigators are also seeking information regarding two unidentified women seen in a getaway car in Frankfurt, Germany, though they are not currently suspects.
