Eurozone and Hungary Producer Prices Decline in June

Eurozone industrial producer prices fell 0.3% month‑on‑month in June, matching expectations and marking the first monthly decline since February. The annual producer‑price inflation rate eased to 4.6% from 5.9%, driven largely by a 1.5% drop in energy prices. Excluding energy, prices rose 0.2%, indicating that underlying cost pressures remain.

In Hungary, industrial producer prices were down 0.4% year‑on‑year in June as lower export prices offset higher domestic prices. Domestic output prices rose 1.8% YoY, while non‑domestic output fell 1.4% YoY. Energy‑related prices increased 2.3% domestically and 17.9% for non‑domestic output, reflecting international market trends.
