Euskal Selekzioa advances to World Championship finals

The Euskal Selekzioa team has achieved significant success at the Basque Pelota World Championship. In the men's individual cesta category, Aritz Erkiaga advanced toward the final after defeating Mexico's Ochoa with scores of 15-7 and 15-4. In the women's individual cesta, Maialen Aldazabal secured a victory over Tania Mayorga (15-6, 15-7).

In the hand pelota discipline, Gaizka Carregal advanced to the gold medal match after defeating Hernández from Mexico. Carregal will face the Spanish team, composed of Fermín Arribillaga and Jorge Fernández, for the championship. Additionally, the team secured a spot in the gold medal match against Spain in another category, following a dominant performance by Beñat Azketa and Oier Elorz against France.

Other notable results include Esteban Gaubeka and Imanol Ibáñez winning a high-stakes match in pala corta against Spain to advance to the semifinals. In frontball, Olatz Arrizabalaga reached the semifinals after defeating Chile's Solas.
