Eve Air Mobility to launch eVTOL service in São Paulo region in 2028

Eve Air Mobility, a subsidiary of Embraer, announced that its electric vertical‑takeoff‑and‑landing (eVTOL) aircraft will begin commercial operations in early 2028. The first operator, Revo – Brazil’s largest helicopter company – has ordered 50 eVTOLs for US$250 million and will use them on short‑range routes in the São Paulo metropolitan area and nearby cities. Planned destinations include Guarulhos International Airport, Alphaville (Barueri), Quinta da Baroneza (Bragança Paulo) and private flights to Campos do Jordão, while some existing helicopter routes such as Fazenda Boa Vista, Angra dos Reis and Paraty will remain heli‑only. The eVTOLs can travel up to 100 km, carry one pilot and four passengers with up to 500 L of baggage, and recharge fully in about 15 minutes. Revo expects the service to complement its helicopter fleet and cut travel costs by 20‑30 percent over the medium term.
