Everland twin pandas to return to China in December

Samsung C&T's Everland resort announced that twin giant pandas Ruibao and Huibao are scheduled to return to China during the third week of December. The twins, born in July 2023, must return to China before reaching the age of four in accordance with international agreements regarding breeding capabilities.

The exact date and location of the transfer will be determined based on the pandas' health, temperature, and local conditions. Prior to the move, the pandas will undergo approximately one month of health checks and quarantine management, during which public viewing will be suspended. Everland plans to host a farewell program to allow visitors to commemorate the pandas.

Following the departure of the twins, the only baby panda remaining at Everland will be Shubao, who was born in June and is currently growing steadily. Everland is considering making Shubao available for public viewing within the year.
