Everything Sprouts expands recall to include radish sprout mix
Everything Sprouts, LLC has expanded its voluntary recall to include Robust Radish Sprout Mix in 5-ounce cups. The expansion is due to the potential for cross-contamination with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) or Salmonella from previously recalled alfalfa sprouts.
The affected radish sprout mix includes lot numbers 223, 226, 230, and 233, distributed between August 13 and August 26, 2026, to wholesale distributors and grocery stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin. While no illnesses have been specifically linked to the radish mix, the company is coordinating with the FDA and CDC following a broader outbreak.
As of August 24, the CDC reported at least 55 illnesses involving Salmonella or E. coli across 15 states. These cases have resulted in at least four hospitalizations, though no deaths have been reported. Health officials advise consumers to discard the recalled products and sanitize any surfaces or containers that may have come into contact with them.
